Titanic vs modern ships?
hi, my friends are going on an alaska cruise. we got into a debate over the size of thier ship vs titanic. would anyone know if there would happen to be any drawings or images anyone has made that would show titanics size to that of modern cruise ships…thanks
While I don’t have side by side comparisons, I can give you a modern comparison. MS Sovereign of the Seas is very close to the size and compliment of the Titanic. The Titanic was about two and one half feet longer than the Sovereign. However, the Sovereign is about two feet wider. The Titanic’s compliment (passengers and crew) was about 2,223. The Sovereign is about 2,852. Their displacements are very different due to technology, but overall, the sizes are very close to use for comparison.
